Deployment

Railway

How the documentation site is deployed, and which hostname it uses.

Last updated:

The documentation site is a container. Railway builds the root Dockerfile and serves Next.js.

Hostname#

The public name is studio.vukem.dev.

Until that name resolves, the same deployment answers at studio-production-b48f.up.railway.app. / redirects to /docs/introduction.

On the vukem.dev zone, add:

TypeHostValue
CNAMEstudiooqw3fjl4.up.railway.app

Railway issues the certificate after the record matches. If the domain stays unverified, also add the TXT record Railway shows for _railway-verify.studio.

Runtime#

The image listens on PORT (Railway sets it) and binds 0.0.0.0. The process runs as the bun user. The health check path is /docs/introduction.

NEXT_PUBLIC_SITE_URL is https://studio.vukem.dev at build time so canonical links match the public host.

Config#

railway.toml selects the Dockerfile and the health check. Railway marks that file format deprecated after 2026-12-01. .railway/railway.ts is the generated replacement and is not applied yet.

CLI uploads skip .agents/ through .railwayignore. GitHub builds use .dockerignore, which skips the same tree.

What this service is not#

This service is the documentation site. The dashboard application is a later Vukem service. It can share the Railway project and must not replace this service's start command.
